Stone Island Storefront

Storefront Design, Identity Design, Marketing Campaign

A storefront design for fashion brand Stone Island, uses shifting distance to provide an interesting visual experience.

The idea of this project is to break up the space with four concrete structures. Cut the trademark into four unequal sections and carve them on four pieces of cement concrete respectively. Use moving distance to provide an interesting visual experience. By adjusting the size, position and angle of the trademark, a visual change will be created by the observer due to the change of his own position. The graph changes with distance and angle. By moving to a relatively specific position, the logo on the wall will form a complete trademark without angles. One has to seek that position by moving oneself.

Because the four-sided concrete structure has an angle. On one side of the window are the walls and interactive logo. From the other side, people can see the situation in the store through the window glass. In this way, different visions will be obtained from both sides of the street. Here are two laser cut models to get an idea of how the design would work.

When the idea was finalized, some key visuals were made which extended with the storefront design. Points view showing different perspective.
